The valves are designed as discharge units for powdered materials from hopper cyclones and dust collectors where it is important to maintain a vacuum and minimise air leakage into the system. Operation of the valves is based on an air lock principle similar in operation to the double security doors in banks.

This bigger opening allows better gravity flow with less bridging resulting in more efficient operation. The valves are supplied with “wear resistant’' chutes and flaps as standard. -
